Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has revealed that he joined Real Madrid because of his "hero" Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 16-year-old will officially join Los Blancos from next season after the LaLiga outfit agreed to pay his €60 million release clause.
'Ronaldo Is No Longer Worth The Hassle To Managers'
The Palmeiras attacker reveals that the influence from Ronaldo and current Real star Vinicius Junior was key to his decision to move to the Spanish capital.
"Real Madrid is a huge team, Vini had sent me messages and gave me hope," Endrick told Marca.
"Cristiano is my idol and he played for Real Madrid, that's why I chose them and I believe it's the right choice. God has always been with me and he told me it was the right thing to do."
Eldrick reveals that he also spent time with Vinicius junior and got some advice from the Brazil international.
"Several pieces of advice. I couldn't even talk about it here because there has been so much advice. I would be here talking for a long time," he added.
"I keep it to myself. But he has not only given me advice for now, but for my whole life. He is my friend and I think this friendship will last for many years. I hope I can exchange many passes with him and score goals."
