Real Madrid star James Rodriguez has somewhat surprisingly completed a shock move to Premier League side Everton.

The 29-year-old has left Los Blancos after six years to reunite with former Real coach Carlo Ancelotti at Everton.
Rodriguez is still the fifth most expensive signing in the Spanish giants' history, having joined the club from Monaco for €75 million (R1.48 billion) in 2014, but has now left the Santiago Bernabeu for a fee of just €25 million (R494 million), according to reports.

The attacking midfielder, who spent two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich between 2017 and 2019, made 125 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 37 goals and assisting another 42 strikes.

He won nine trophies during his time in Madrid, and was part of Real's triumphant UEFA Champions League squads in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 campaigns.
