Tottenham Hotspur forward, Gareth Bale, seems to have taken a sly dig at Real Madrid following his side's UEFA Europa League win on Thursday night.
The Welsh superstar, who is currently on loan at the London club from Los Blancos, was back in action for the first time since his transfer to Spurs, coming on as a substitute in their 3-3 draw against West Ham.
He then made his first start for the club in their 3-0 win over LASK, playing 60 minutes of the game before coming off.
Bale endured a difficult spell in Spain over the last few seasons, with the Wales international not having a good relationship with the fans, as well as Zinedine Zidane.
The player seems to have taken a sly dig at his treatment at the Spanish giants, saying that he feels "loved and appreciated" at Spurs.
"It is amazing to be back," Bale said, according to National News.
"It is a big reason why I play well and why I came back. You want to be loved and appreciated. I will give everything for this shirt."
Having only gotten 60 minutes under his belt, Bale also explained his slow introduction to the team since arriving back in London.
"I am a bit stiff. It is like a mini pre-season for me and I am trying to get minutes into the legs," he added.
