Gareth Bale has come out guns blazing, slamming Real Madrid over his failed move away from the club last year, while also alerting Premier League sides to his availability in this window.
The Welshman, who is currently in camp with his national team, opened up about his situation at Los Blancos recently.
He was said to be close to moving to a club in China ahead of the 2019/20 season, only for Real to cancel everything at the last minute, which left him frustrated, as he explained in a revealing interview.
"Last year, they blocked everything at the last second, so it was a project that I was excited for last year but it didn't materialise. There have been other incidents when we've tried to go but the club wouldn't allow it or have done something, so as for the club, what can I say?" he told Sky Sports.
"I want to play and I'm still motivated to play football so I guess it's on the club really. I can't really do much, they are in control of everything.
"I have a contract so all I can do is carry on doing what I'm doing and hopefully something comes up."
Bale also alerted Premier League clubs of his interest to return to England if the right offer arrives.
"As I said, it's not really in my hands, I think it's one of those situations if offers arrived it would be something I'd look at for sure, but we will have to see what happens," he added.
"We have got plenty of time left in this transfer window and others as well but time will tell. Mainly, the reason is the decision is in Real Madrid's hands."
Bale is said to earn €17 million (R337 million) a year at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Real are understood to be keen to get him off their wage bill.
However, if no offer for him arrives in this window and they want to get him off their books now, they would probably have to pay out the remaining two years of his current contract, but that fee is believed to be an amount the club cannot afford at this moment in time.
