Having failed to light up LaLiga since his record transfer to Real Madrid, Eden Hazard's motivation and drive have once again been called into question.
The Belgium international has endured an injury-stricken year at Los Blancos since his Chelsea exit, and has also been accused, on more than one occasion, of arriving to training in poor shape.
This has led many to question whether or not Hazard has the determination to be among the best footballers in the game, with Clarence Seedorf the latest to suggest that he needs to perform more consistently if he wants to be included in that conversation.
"I have always said that Hazard can be up there (with the best players in the world)," the Dutchman told Goal.
"But it's about: are you motivated to be the best?
"So, it's about the consistency which Messi and Ronaldo have shown.
"Cristiano has shown all the players that they can be consistent over the years at that level and that's a mentality thing, that's a motivation and drive that champions have."
Hazard has played 22 games across all competitions in his time with Real so far, scoring one goal along the way.
