FIFA To Make 2026 World Cup U-Turn?
Los Blancos have added yet another young Brazilian attacker to their ranks with the acquisition of 16-year-old Endrick Felipe. The record European champions have reportedly agreed a deal worth €60 million (R1.1 billion), plus €12 million (R222 million) in taxes, with Palmeiras.
"Real Madrid CF, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, Endrick and his family have reached an agreement whereby the player will be able to join Real Madrid when he comes of age in July 2024," the LaLiga club said on its official website.
"Until then, Endrick will continue his training at the SE Palmeiras. The player will travel to Madrid in the coming days to visit our club's facilities."
The young star will only join Los Merengues when he is of age in 2024, and it is understood that Real also have an option to extend his deal by three years.
In the meantime, the Brasilia native will spend the next season and a half plying his trade in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.
Barca Set To Sign Man City Star Duo?
The Brazil youth international will follow in the steps of many young Brazilians who have started their European careers at the Santiago Bernabeu, including the likes of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Robinho.
Other top European clubs had been tracking Endrick, such as Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but the youngster has chosen to don the famous white of Real.
His departure from the Brasileiro Serie A is the second-highest in the league's history, after Neymar's move from Santos to Barcelona at a cost of €88 million (R1.6 billion) in 2013.
