The 24-year-old will have six months remaining on his existing contract with Paris Saint-Germain once January 2024 arrives.
The attacker made it known during the off-season that he had no intention of extending with the French club, and with a new transfer window approaching, rumours over a possible departure to Real have resurfaced.
Los Blancos have been aggressively courting the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner for years now, and have twice failed to secure his services after bids were made, but it seems the Spanish juggernauts have not forgotten about the Bondy native and will make another serious approach for the striker next year.
Instead of losing their talisman for free at the end of the season, there have been suggestions that Mbappe could make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu during the mid-season window for a transfer fee, but Henry has urged PSG's all-time top goalscorer to stay in the French capital at least until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
"If I'm Kylian Mbappe, I'm not going. You want to finish what you started. Why would you want to leave? You still have to win the league. He loves PSG, you have to understand that. He loves his club, he's from there... I want him to stay until the end," the former Arsenal and Les Bleus attacker told CBS Sport.
