Gianluigi Buffon was at the receiving end of a Cristiano Ronaldo masterclass during the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, and the legendary goalkeeper has now revealed what he and the former Real Madrid superstar spoke about after the match.

Ronaldo was the destroyer-in-chief in for Los Blancos in the first leg of the quarter-final tie, putting two goals past Buffon to lead his side to a 3-1 win over the Bianconeri.
The Portugal star's second goal came from a spectacular bicycle kick that left Buffon in awe, and the 41-year-old 'keeper has now revealed how it led to a brief exchange following the match.
"After about 25 seconds of normal frustration over the goal I conceded, I thought about what he had done to me, something really great," Buffon said, according to Marca.
"I asked him, 'Cristiano, how old are you?' and he told me, 'Not bad for a 33-year-old, right?' In the end, we both laughed."

Ronaldo joined Juve ahead of the following season, while Buffon moved on to Paris Saint-Germain, but the pair united once again in Turin following the veteran shot-stopper's return in July.
"At the end of my career, I had the chance to play with Cristiano and that's an extra point," Buffon added.
"It's hard to improve if you don't play with the best and I wanted to add him to the list of the great champions I've played with."

Ronaldo is the all-time leading goalscorer in Champions League history, with the 34-year-old having scored 127 goals in the competition across spells with Manchester United, Real and Juve.
