Lionel Messi was named Man of the Match and lifted his first trophy as FC Barcelona captain after his side beat Sevilla in the Supercopa de Espana courtesy of a rocket strike by Ousmane Dembele.

This was Messi's first official game as Barcelona captain after Andres Iniesta left the club, and the Argentine ended up lifting his first trophy with the armband.
