Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag owes Harry Maguire an apology after the defender's recent performances, according to a former a Premier League coach.
Maguire was heavily linked with a departure in the last transfer window, with West Ham United reportedly keen on his services, however he decided to stay at Old Trafford.

After a slow start, Maguire has now been back in the side after injuries to other defenders and picked up the Man of the Match award against Sheffield United.
The England defender also scored the winning goal as the Red Devils defeated FC Copenhagen 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League this week and Tim Sherwood feels Maguire is owed an apology.
"Maguire was getting shoved out the door and you could see that the manager was trying to edge him out but he didn't want to leave," the Premier League winner said on Tippy Tappy Football.
"He probably looked around the dressing room, saw how flaky the other players in his position were and decided that he'd eventually get some minutes.
"As a manager, when you have a player like Maguire who wants to give everything for the cause and leave nothing on the pitch, you can deal with that.
"The problem is when people go hiding and they don't want to leave the treatment room because they want to be at 110% for every game they play, but that is never going to happen. I think he will play a lot more now, and I think Erik ten Hag owes him an apology," he added.
