8 Managers Who Could Replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer At Manchester United

With Manchester United making their worst start to a Premier League season since David Moyes' tenure, here are eight managers the club could look to should they decide to dismiss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Red Devils have won just two of their first six Premier League matches of the 2020/21 campaign, and are currently 15th on the league table, albeit with a game in hand.

Solskjaer has come under major scrutiny for United's 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, with many supporters believing he is not the man to take the club forward.

The Norwegian stepped in as interim manager following Jose Mourinho's sacking in December 2018, and after an impressive run of results, was given the job on a permanent basis.

Since then, however, the Manchester club has battled for consistency under the former Cardiff City and Molde manager, who has sometimes been able to pull off big results, particularly in the UEFA Champions League.

If he were to be relieved of his duties, finding the perfect fit for the club and team would be no easy feat, but there is a long list of managers who would likely be interested in or have been linked with the job.

RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann is one of them, as is the currently unemployed Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine has been tipped to take over the helm at the Red Devils on a number of occasions, and things are no different this time around.

Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is also still available, as is another ex-Bianconeri man in Maurizio Sarri. Paris Saint-Germain tactician Thomas Tuchel might also be keen to try his hand in the Premier League, and it is an option he could look to explore sooner rather than later.

'Maybe Pogba's Best Position Is On The Bench'

The German's relationship with PSG sporting director Leonardo has soured in recent times, but failure to win the UEFA Champions League could see the French giants decide to replace him regardless of off-field circumstances.
