The 41-year-old, who has been working as Belgium boss Roberto Martinez's assistant coach since 2016, recently opted to end his work as a pundit, and is now believed to be close to landing his first head coaching role.
French broadcaster RMC has reported that Henry is set to become the new coach of Ligue 1 side Bordeaux after the French side sacked Gus Poyet earlier this week following a dispute with the club's management.
Henry has reportedly sought assurances that funds for reinforcements will be available if he does take the job, and RMC has claimed he has agreed to take charge of the team.
