With a Paris Saint-Germain player reportedly refusing to sign a new deal with the French giants, it is believed the club has told the star to go ahead and sign for FC Barcelona.
The Top Goalscorers In Europe Update
Midfielder Adrien Rabiot was heavily linked with the Spanish giants in the latest transfer window, but no deal materialised.
PSG were reluctant to see the player leave, and still are, but have become increasingly frustrated with the 23-year-old, who was reportedly difficult to deal with during contract renewal negotiations.
According to Paris United and as cited by Sport, the French club's sporting director Antero Henrique eventually became so annoyed with Rabiot he told him to leave for Barca.
While president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants the player to stay at the club, he apparently understands it might be difficult to persuade the player to stay due to his poor relationship with manager Thomas Tuchel.
Real Madrid Star Makes Huge Lopetegui Claim
It has been claimed the German tactician and Rabiot are not currently seeing eye to eye in France, which could lead to the midfielder exiting the club come the expiry of his contract in 2019.
