Midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been heavily linked with a move to the Blaugrana in recent weeks, with some publications in France claiming the French giants are willing to let him leave.
According to Paris United, Rabiot has made it clear he will stay with PSG if the club offers him a bumper new deal that would take his wage from €60 000 (R929 000) to about €150 000 (R2.3 million) a week.
However, it is believed the French giants' director of football, Antero Henrique, is unlikely to be ready to match the midfielder's demands.
Rabiot, who has just one year left on his contract at PSG, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Barca, so should the French champions fail to offer him a new deal, he could join the Catalans for free at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
The player will apparently have a meeting with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi next week to discuss his future.
