Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain managed to break a record that stood for 58 years following their victory over Lille on Friday evening.

Goals from Kylian Mbappe and Neymar steered PSG to a 2-1 win over Lille to make it 12 wins from 12 matches in the league this season.
As a result, PSG have now set a new record, becoming the first team in Europe's top five leagues to win their first 12 successive league games.

Tottenham Hotspur held the record for 58 years after they won their 11 opening games in the 1960-61 season in England.

PSG look to be running away with the Ligue 1 title, as they sit 11 points clear of second place Lille.
