Ligue 1
Result: Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 Toulouse
Date: 24 November 2018
Venue: Parc di Princes
Edinson Cavani's ninth league goal of the season was enough to hand Paris Saint-Germain a 14th successive Ligue 1 victory on Saturday evening.
The hosts got off to the perfect start when Cavani bagged his ninth goal of the season with a close range finish after nine minutes.
Cavani thought he got a second goal in the 18th minute, but the Uruguayan's goal was flagged for offside by the linesman.
Toulouse, meanwhile, struggled to carve out any serious openings at Gianluigi Buffon's goal as the Ligue 1 champions dominated from the onset.
Julian Draxler should have doubled the lead on 39 minutes after being played through by Angel di Maria, but the German was unable to find the back of the net.
That proved to be the final chance of the half as Thomas Tuchel men led by the solitary strike at the break.
Di Maria looked to double PSG's lead in the 57th minute with another goal straight from the corner, but his effort sailed on the roof of the net.
Tuchel opted for a double change after 70 minutes as Dani Alves and Eric-Choupo Moting replaced Meunier and Marco Verratti.
Toulouse nearly restored parity five minutes later but defender Prensel Kimpembe produced an impressive clearance off the line to deny the visitors.
Alves nearly marked his long-awaited return with a goal in the closing stages but he fired over the crossbar from close range.
Nevertheless, 1-0 was how the score remained as PSG claimed a 14th straight victory this in the French top flight.
