With there being a 21-year age difference between Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and striker Kylian Mbappe, the Italian has now revealed what the young Frenchman often tells him.
'Ronaldo Should've Copied Messi'
Mbappe was not even born when Buffon's Serie A career began taking flight at Parma in 1994, but years later, the pair are colleagues at Ligue 1 champions PSG, following the shot-stopper's exit from Juventus in this transfer window.
Buffon has now claimed that the 19-year-old finds it bizarre that they are teammates, saying the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner often brings it up in conversation.
"With Mbappe, we joke and often laugh together, he always tells me: 'Never in my life could I have imagined playing one day with you.'," the shot-stopper said recently, according to the Daily Mail.
"He saw me play the 2006 World Cup against France, when he was a boy.
"I faced him in the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2017."
