French Ligue 1
Result: Troyes 0-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Date: 03 March 2018
Venue: Stade de l'Aube
Paris Saint-Germain, who were without Neymar, laboured to a 2-0 win over Troyes in Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.
The visitors were without the services of their world-record transfer, who is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his ankle.
Despite the absence of the Brazilian superstar, PSG dominated in the opening exchanges this weekend, with Angel Di Maria going close in the opening 10 minutes.
Troyes goalkeeper Erwin Zelazny endured busy first half as he produced a couple more saves to deny the likes of Giovani Lo Celso and Di Maria after 30 minutes.
That was the trend for the rest of the stanza as Troyes managed to hold out until the halftime break.
However, Di Maria eventually broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half with a composed finish after being teed up by Julian Draxler.
Draxler nearly registered his name on the scoresheet on 64 minutes with a long-range effort that sailed inches wide of the upright.
PSG eventually bagged their second goal in the 77th minute when Christopher Nkunku turned home Dani Alves' cross at the far post.
The visitors failed to add to their tally in the closing stages, while Troyes failed to proved any real attacking attempt at the PSG goal on the night.
