The Manchester United loanee is currently plying his trade on the outskirts of Madrid with LALIGA outfit Getafe as he looks to get his football career back on track.
Up until the team's season opener against Osasuna, the Bradford native had not played football for more than 18 months following his arrest in early 2022.
The charges levelled against the forward were dropped in February this year, though, and while it seemed for a brief moment that he could be reintegrated back into the United set-up, the club ultimately decided to ship him off to the Spanish top flight on the latest deadline day.
Life has got off to a relatively good start on the pitch for Greenwood in Spain as he already has a goal and an assist in his opening five matches as a Getafe player, with the goal contributions coming in two of his three starts so far.
However, it has not been all good for the United academy graduate since moving to Madrid as he has had to deal with some heinous chants from opposition supporters.
Since arriving in their top division, chants of "Greenwood, die" has rung out on multiple occasions at the various stadia Getafe have played at this season.
The forward's time in Spain could get worse as he and his father were spotted grabbing some Burger King food after the team's Friday training session.
According to The Sun, Getafe's manager Jose Bordalas routinely weighs his players, and if found to be overweight, the offence is punishable with a hefty fine.
