The Catalan giants have announced wonderkid Vitor Roque as their latest purchase after they paid Club Athletico Paranaense a reported €30 million (R618 million) fee upfront, which could rise to €60 million (R1.2 billion), for the forward's services.

Roque, 18, attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest side's following his breakthrough campaign with Paranaense, but ultimately it is the Blaugrana who came out on top in the race for the Timoteo native.

Since leaving Cruzeiro in April 2022, the Brazil international found the back of the net 22 times while also bagging nine assists in the 66 matches for Athletico Paranaense.
