FC Barcelona are reportedly close to signing a certain Premier League star despite coach Xavi Hernandez wanting to sign other targets.
The Catalan giants confirmed this week that long-serving midfielder Sergio Busquets will be leaving the Camp Nout at the end of the season when his contract expires.

A number of midfielders has been linked with the Spanish in the last few months, but reports claim that Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves has been tipped to replace Busquets next campaign.
ESPN have reported that club president Joan Laporta is making progress on a deal for the Portugal international due to his close relationship wit the player's agent Jorge Mendes.
Mendes helped the Catalan outfit sign fellow Wolves star Adama Traore on loan in the January transfer window last season and could now bring another one of his clients to the LaLiga leaders.
However, the report adds that Xavi is too keen on the idea of signing Neves as he has doubts about whether the Portuguese would be able to adapt to his style of play.
Reports in Spain suggest that Xavi wants to sign Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi as his first signing, although the club would not fork out €70 million for the player's services.
