Barcelona have reportedly agreed their first signing for the 2023/24 season after failing to land Lionel Messi's signature.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan giants will sign 18-year-old Senegalese centre-back Mikayil Faye from Croatian club NK Kustosija.

The defender has been capped on 10 occasions at U17 level for his country and has impressed enough to have caught the Blaugrana's eye.
It appears the teenager will become the LaLiga champions' first new acquisition ahead of the coming campaign, after previously pursuing a deal to re-sign Messi.
The Argentine, however, decided against delaying his future and instead chose to announce he would be taking his career to MLS side Inter Miami.
