Yaya Toure Sends Message To Pep Guardiola

Yaya Toure Sends Message To Pep Guardiola

Out of favour Manchester City superstar Yaya Toure has sent a statement to the club and his manager Pep Guardiola regarding "misunderstandings from the past".

Pep Gives Update On Axed Yaya

Guardiola dropped the Ivorian from his side's first team after his agent publically criticised Guardiola in the media when the midfielder was left out of the Citizens' Champions League squad.

The Spanish manager made it clear that Toure would not play any part in his team, until his agent had apologised for criticism and that is what has now sparked this response.

"I wish to apologise - on behalf of myself and those who represent me - to the management team and all those working at the club for the misunderstandings from the past," Toure posted in a message on his Facebook page.

"Those statements do not represent my views on the club or the people who work there.

"I have nothing but respect for Manchester City and only wish the best for the football club.

"I am immensely proud to have played a part in the club's history and want to help City succeed further. I live to play football and entertain the fans.

"On that note, I would like to thank all of the fans for their messages through this difficult period. This means a great deal to me and my family."

Toure's statement comes after his agent Dimitri Seluk had already told The Mirror he is trying to make peace with Guardiola.
