Man City Suffer First Loss, Liverpool Move Top!

Bournemouth 2-1 Manchester City

Manchester City suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season after going down 2-1 to Bournemouth on Saturday evening

The home side took the lead after just nine minutes as Kerkez did well to race to the byline before pulling the back to Semenyo, who controlled well before firing past Ederson.

While the visitors struggled to get the equaliser, Bournemouth doubled their lead in the 64th minute when Evanilson got his name on the score-sheet by turning home Kerkez's neat cross.

Man City pulled one back with eight minutes to play as Josko Gvardiola got on the end of Ilkay Gundogan's cross and headed home.

Liverpool 2-1 Brighton and Hove Albion

Liverpool moved to the top of the table after a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Brighton broke the deadlock in the 14th minute as Danny Welbeck flicked the ball on to Ferdi Kadioglu, who drilled the ball into the back of the net for his first league goal.

Arne Slot's charges had to wait until the 70th minute to get back on level terms via thee boot of Cody Gakpo, who has now made three goals in two games this week.

The turnaround was complete three minutes later as Mohamed Salah cut inside before sending a neat finish into the back of the net.

Nottingham Forest 3-0 West Ham United

Nottingham Forest continued their fine start to the season with a 3-0 win over West Ham United.

The home side went ahead in the 27th minute when Chris Wood continued his fine start to the campaign by firing home his eighth league goal.

West Ham were reduced to ten men on the interval after Edson Alvarez was shown a red card, while the second goal arrived after the hour mark, with Callum Hudson-Odoi getting his second goal of the campaign

Forest rounded off the scoring with 12 minutes to play as Ola Aina gets his first goal for the season.

Ipswich Town 1-1 Leicester City

Ipsiwch Town's search for a first win continued after drawing 1-1 with Leicester City.

The home side took the lead ten minutes after the halftime break as Leif Davis opened his account with a superb volley. 

Ipswich were minutes away from a first victory before Jordan Ayew popped up with Leicester's equaliser in the 94th minute.

Southampton 1-0 Everton

Southampton secured their first win of the campaign at the ninth attempt with a 1-0 win over Everton.

Adam Armstrong got the all-important goal for the Saints on 85 minutes, while Everton's Beto had a late goal ruled out for offside.
