Despite winning the Carabao Cup and UEFA Europa League titles during his first campaign as Red Devils manager, the Portuguese tactician has maintained that finishing second in the English top flight to the Citizens in the 2017/18 season remains his biggest achievement at the club.
The Sky Blues are now facing 115 charges relating to breached financial regulations. Should they be found guilty, there is the possibility that they could be docked points or stripped of their titles for the period in question.
It seems Mourinho is hoping that the latter is true so he can take his tally of English titles to four, having already won three with Chelsea.

A two-time winner of the tournament himself, Mourinho believes, despite all their ongoing league struggles, United can be successful in the continental competition.

"The Premier League is a different level of quality, a different level of intensity, of pace, of tactical culture, of everything. We are going to play against one of the two strongest teams."
