Liverpool stretched their winless run in the Premier League to three games, after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Swansea City at Anfield.
Philippe Coutinho returned to the Reds starting line-up for the first time since November 2016, as Divock Origi dropped to the bench.
Swansea nearly broke the deadlock after 19 minutes when Tom Carroll broke into the box, before seeing his effort deflect on the upright.
Liverpool, meanwhile, dictated play for most of the first half, but were let down by their decision making in the final third.
Jurgen Klopp's charges failed to register a single effort on target in the opening 45 minutes, as the score remained goalless at the break.
Swansea broke the deadlock shortly after the break, as some poor defending from Liverpool saw Fernando Llorente poke from six-yards out.
The lead was doubled in the 52nd minute as Llorente rose well to head home Gylfi Sigurdsson's inch perfect cross.
Liverpool pulled a goal back two minutes when Roberto Firmino headed home James Milner's cross at the far post.
The Reds eventually leveled matters in the 69th minute when Georginio Wijnaldum's cross found Firmino, who volleyed into bottom corner.
Swansea restored their lead in the 74th minute as Ragnar Klavan's clearance landed at the feet of Sigurdsson, who calmly slotted home from 12-yard out, 3-2.
Liverpool pushed everything forward in search of an equaliser in the closing stages, but Swansea managed to see out the late push to claim a vital win.
