Arsenal beat the MLS All-Stars 2-1 on Thursday night in a pre-season friendly, with the Gunners' old nemesis Didier Drogba getting on the scoresheet.
The Premier League giants had the chance to open the scoring early on from the penalty spot after Joel Campbell was brought down in the MLS All-Stars' area.
The Costa Rican stepped up to take the penalty, and rifled his strike into the bottom right corner, giving his team an early lead.
The match was fairly eventless for the rest of the first half, with the likes of Kaka, David Villa and Andrea Pirlo unable to stamp their mark on proceedings – until Drogba popped up to be the thorn in Arsenal's side once again.
Poor defending saw the Ivorian being gifted with a clear-cut chance inside the box, and after two of his shots were blocked, Drogba hammered the ball into the back of the net to bring the scores level.
Both sides made several changes at half-time and during the second stanza, which saw the game lose a bit of its tempo, but a few individuals stood out.
New Arsenal signing Granit Xhaka impressed for Arsene Wenger's team, while Sebastian Giovinco looked dangerous for the All-Stars.
With the game seemingly headed for a stalemate, Chuba Akpom was on target with the winner in the 87th minute, after a brilliant ball from Nacho Monreal.
