With Erling Haaland wanted by almost every top club in world football, here is the latest on the Borussia Dortmund superstar's future ahead of the January transfer window.
Following his arrival in Germany in January 2020, Haaland has scored a remarkable 76 goals in 75 matches across all competitions, while he has also assisted a further 20 strikes.
The 21-year-old's spectacular form has earned him interest from many of the world's biggest clubs, such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Manchester City and Manchester United.
According to Manchester Evening News, it is the Red Devils who have moved first in their pursuit of the forward, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick believed to have reached out to the striker's father.
Rangnick, it is understood, already has a relationship with Haaland's dad Alf-Inge after the German tactician oversaw the young striker's move from Molde to Salzburg in 2019.
It is believed that the £64 million (R1.3 billion) release clause in Haaland's contract at Dortmund will become active in the transfer window at the end of the season, although it remains to be seen where the player will want to take his career next.
