Premier League leaders Liverpool are said to be bracing themselves for a huge £75 million (R1.4 billion) bid from one of Europe's biggest clubs for Brazilian superstar Roberto Firmino.
According to The Sun, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are preparing a big-money move for the 28-year-old, who once played in Germany with Hoffenheim.
The Bavarians are reportedly expected to launch a bid of £75 million for the Selecao international as they see him as a perfect partner for striker Robert Lewandowski.
Although Firmino plays as a No. 9 for the Reds, many consider him to be more of an attacking midfielder, but was converted to the main forward role by Jurgen Klopp.
With last season's UEFA Champions League winners heavily linked with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, Bundesliga giants Bayern are believed to feel this could be the best time to swoop for the Brazil ace.
Firmino left the German top flight to join Liverpool in 2015, and has scored 76 goals and assisted a further 59 strikes in 228 appearances for the club since.
The forward has won three trophies with the Reds – the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup – all of which came in 2019, the year in which he also won the Copa America with Brazil.
