On Wednesday, Bundesliga side Schalke 04 confirmed the signing of France youth international Jean-Clair Todibo from FC Barcelona on loan for the remainder of the season.

In terms of the deal, Schalke will have an option to buy the 20-year-old for a fee €25 million, plus €5 million in add-ons (R481 million in total), with Barca then retaining a buy-back option of €50 million, plus €10 million in variables (R963 million in total).
Todibo arrived at the Catalan giants in January 2019, and has made five appearances for the club since making his debut in April.

The former Toulouse starlet is Barcelona's second departure of the January window after Carles Alena joined Real Betis on loan earlier in the month.
