Bayern Munich 2-1 Mainz

Bayern Munich went six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Mainz 05 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Mainz stunned the Bavarians with the lead ahead of halftime through Karim Onisiwo, but an inspired Bayern emerged for the second half and hit back courtesy of Kingsley Coman.

The winner followed late on due to Jamal Musiala, as the champions bagged five wins in succession on all fronts.

VfL Bochum 1-1 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund weren't able to close the gap on the pace-setters following a 1-1 draw against VfL Bochum at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

Sebastian Polter's penalty conversion following the first half opened the deadlock before Julian Brandt replied with the equaliser minutes to the final whistle.

With the Black and Yellow still in second spot despite the draw, this result leaves the host tenth on the league table.

Hertha Berlin 2-0 Arminia Bielefeld

Hertha Berlin's run of five matches without a win in the league ended with a 2-0 victory over Arminia Bielefeld at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

As the first half finished goalless, Stevan Jovetic bagged the opener minutes from the restart and left substitute Davie Selke to confirm the clash at the death.

The win did little to improve the host' position on the table though, but it left Arminia stuck in the dreaded bottom-two positions.

SC Freiburg 1-2 TSG Hoffenheim

TSG Hoffenheim registered their fifth successive victory after getting the better of SC Freiburg 2-1 and also maintained their top-four push.

Hoffenheim set their intentions clear moments from kickoff through David Raum, but Nico Schlotterbeck responded earlier in the first half to wipe out the visitors advantage.

Moments after halftime, Freiburg got a chance to make it two through a penalty from Vincenzo Grifo but he missed and left Chris Richards to claim the winner in the dying stages.

RB Leipzig 4-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

RB Leipzig followed up their midweek win over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League group stages with a commanding 4-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Early strikes from Josko Gvardiol and Andre Silva had the host off the mark and last-gasp efforts from Christopher Nkunku and Benjamin Henrichs capped matters.

Monchengladbach did looked to probe a way back in the tie courtesy of Ramy Bensebaini, but it unfortunately wasn't to be.

Vfl Wolfsburg 0-2 VfB Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart dented Vfl Wolfsburg's hopes of a top-six position following a 2-0 victory at the Volkswagen Arena.

The victory slightly helped Stuttgart's battle near the drop, as Konstantinos Mavropanos and Philipp Forster struck in either half to confirm the maximum points.
