Earlier this week, it was revealed that the South African tactician and the president of the Red Castle, Hicham Ait Menna, had travelled to Brazil in an effort to try and lure more transfer targets to the Stade Mohamed V.
It emerged that the three-time African champions have identified two Brazilian stars they were keen on signing.
It came to light that Corinthians youngster Pedrinho was one of the attackers who were on Wydad's wish list, while the identity of the club's mooted second target remained anonymous, until now.
According to Brazilian journalist Pedro Ramiro, as per Le360 Sport, the north African juggernauts are also in pursuit of 20-year-old striker Giovane.
Mokwena and Menna were in attendance this past weekend to watch the Black-and-White of Parque Sao Jorge take on Fluminense, but it seems they were not at the 0-0 draw for leisure as it is believed that they harbour plans to land the Brazil U23 international.
The aforementioned duo did get the chance to see the Campinas native strut his stuff on the pitch as Giovane came on as a substitute shortly after half-time, but was unable to make a significant impact as the match ended in a stalemate.
Ramiro also stated that talks for Pedrinho are still ongoing, and he is expecting the Wydad contingent to arrive in Sao Paulo later in the week to finalise a deal for him too.

With regards to Giovane, however, it is understood that Corinthians are still yet to receive a formal offer from the record Moroccan champions, but talks over a transfer are reportedly in progress.
