With reports linking Josef Zinnbauer with a possible return to Raja Club Athletic, sources close to the German tactician have revealed to Soccer Laduma the latest regarding the likelihood of the move.

The Green Eagles are the current champions of Morocco, becoming so in historic fashion largely thanks to the Schwandorf native.
The 2023/24 campaign was Zinnbauer's first full season in charge of the Botola Pro Inwi champions and they completed it without suffering a single defeat in both the league and domestic cup, inevitably winning both competitions.
This earned him a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League where he is now coaching Al Wehda, but so far, the 54-year-old is nowhere near the success he enjoyed in Morocco.
The former Orlando Pirates head coach has suffered three defeats in his opening five league matches as his team languishes in the relegation zone.
As a consequence of their poor form, Zinnbauer is now believed to be on the brink of losing his latest job.
His previous club Raja, meanwhile, have also struggled for form since his departure.
The three-time African champions have already fired Zinnbauer's replacement, Rusmir Cviko, and are now looking for a new permanent head coach, with their former boss having been tipped as one of the favourites to succeed the Bosnian.
While there may be rumours over a possible return to Casablanca for the ex-Hamburg head coach, sources close to Zinnbauer have informed Soccer Laduma that there is no chance that he will make his way back to lead the team.
The same source stated that Raja is displeased with the way in which he left the club for Saudi Arabia and considered it unprofessional, even if their fans are eager to see him reappointed.

As things stand, there are no discussions taking place between club president Adel Hala and the coach's representatives, and that is not expected to change any time soon.
