Siyabonga Ngezana's FCSB have managed to successfully qualify for a major European tournament following their narrow victory on Thursday night.

On the day the central defender celebrated yet another call-up to Bafana Bafana for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the 27-year-old managed to help his side make it to the league phase of the UEFA Europa League.
The former Kaizer Chiefs man was close to playing UEFA Champions League football this season, but after the Red and Blues were defeated by Sparta Praha 4-3 on aggregate in the third qualifying round for Europe's premier club competition, the Romanian side dropped down to Europa League qualification.
FCSB were pitted against Austrian side LASK, and in the first leg of the tie, they managed to leave the Raiffeisen Arena with a 1-1 draw after winger David Miculescu equalised shortly before half-time.
All Ngezana and his teammates had to do in the second leg at home was to win, and they did so, but in extremely late fashion.
Captain Darius Olaru's winner, and the only goal of the match, only arrived in the 93rd minute to ensure that FCSB qualified for the competition's group stage for the first time in eight years.

The Bafana Bafana man's side will find out which eight teams they will be facing in the new look version of the tournament on Friday afternoon.
