Egypt's recently appointed head coach was reportedly hospitalised late on Monday night after becoming ill on his way back from a big Egyptian Premier League match.

According to Yallakora, the Pharaohs' new boss Hossam Hassan was sent to the hospital after Ismaily's 0-0 draw with Zamalek at Ismailia Stadium.
The health scare is said to have come about after the legendary Egyptian striker suffered from fatigue following his arrival at the stadium after a long meeting with his new technical team.
He had attended the match in order to evaluate some of the possible players he would include in his first national team selection, but having reportedly not eaten all day due to a lack of time, he and his technical team decided it would be best to buy some sandwiches on their way back to Cairo.

The same report claims that shortly after arriving in the nation's capital, Hassan felt a shortness of breath and was immediately transported to a hospital so medics could perform some checks on him.
It is the test results reportedly showed that Egypt's all-time top goalscorer suffered from severe allergy and stomach poisoning, and he was put on a respirator for the subsequent four hours.

He was, however, released from hospital in the early hours of the morning, with doctors prescribing that he get lots of rest.
