Al Ahly Coach: Why I'm Not Worried About Injury Crisis

Al Ahly Coach: Why I'm Not Worried About Injury Crisis

Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller

Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller says the team won't be affected by injuries ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against Coton Sport.

The ten-time CAF Champions League winners will be searching for their first win in Group B after drawing 2-2 with Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend.

The Red Devils will also be without Hussein Al-Shahat, Mahmoud Metwally, Amr El-Sulaya, Ahmed Abdel-Kader and Khaled Abdel-Fattah this evening.

Despite the absence of a number players for the tie, Koller is confident the team can get the job done  against the Cameroonian outfit.

"I don't think that Ahly will be affected by the absence of injured players. We have great players in our squad," Koller said on Friday, as per Ahram Online.

"Plus, Bruno Savio and Ayman Ashraf have returned to trainings."

Koller has also higlighted that there have been a number of good results since he took over and not everything is doom and gloom.

"I do not look during my evaluation of any experience in a small way," he added.

"I played with Al-Ahly 26 matches, we lost only three matches, including a meeting against Real Madrid, the strongest team in the world, as well as Brazilian Flamengo, sad for the loss against Al-Hilal of Sudan, but the results in general confirm that we are a good team."
