Where is Khenyeza? The Mystery Ends

Just a few days after going missing from Golden Arrows, Mabhuti Khenyeza is poised to take on a new role with another PSL club, the Siya crew has been informed.

Arrows recently announced that with Khenyeza out, then Musa Bilankulu and Kagisho Dikgacoi are in charge at their club.

According to sources close to both the coach and Royal AM, discussions have been underway for days with this KwaZulu-Natal club, and indications are that a deal could be finalised soon.

Insiders added that the remaining step is determining the most suitable position for the former Kaizer Chiefs striker within Royal AM. Once this is resolved, only then an official announcement can be made.

"What I can tell you is that the two parties are talking. There have been in talks since Mabhuti (Khenyeza) left Golden Arrows and things are looking up. There could be an announcement either today or tomorrow but it will be before the end of this week. That one, I believe will happen as talks are at an advanced stage," the Siya source stated.

A second insider stated that Royal AM may be considering whether the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker will take on a role as a co-coach or an assistant coach.

"It's either as a co-coach or an assistant coach. But because he is coming from being a head coach then I don't think he could be the assistant coach. So that's the other thing they are looking at and once that is sorted then the announcement would be imminent," the second insider told the Siya crew.

Soccer Laduma contacted Royal AM general manager Richard Makhoba, who stated that they are content with John Maduka when it comes to the head coach position.

"We are happy with John (Maduka)," Makhoba said briefly.

It remains to be seen if any deal for Khenyeza could go over the line, considering that Maduka is already settled at Royal AM.
