Both Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, will be in league action this evening just a few days before the famous Soweto Derby, but will they both taste victory?

The Buccaneers will be aiming to extend their eight-match unbeaten run when they take on Free State Stars at the Goble Stadium.

Eric Tinkler’s men are in buoyed spirits having brushed aside a number of their opposition in excellent style, and, on top of that, they will also welcome back the services of Lehlohonolo Majoro from suspension.

Victory should be possible against a struggling Stars side which sit in contention for the relegation play-offs.

Conversely, Chiefs have a point to prove after having suffered defeat to SuperSport United. They will be eager to bounce back to victory and stretch the gap between them and second placed Wits to ten points. 

Tonight’s fixture against Ajax Cape Town does tend to yield positive results for the Amakhosi as well when coming up against Roger De Sa.

Victory should also be claimed tonight for Chiefs.
