As the season enters its final quarter, we have seen an array of players stepping up to the plate for the respective teams, which in turn could well make bigger teams take a second look at their progress.
Here is the first list of players who could become hot property at the end of the season.
The free-scoring striker seems to have found his goal-scoring boots under the stewardship of Kostadin Papic at Polokwane City this season. A lack of potent strikers has become a widespread epidemic in South African football and with Tlolane providing the goods, bigger teams in the Premier Soccer League are sure to stand up and take note.
Mobara is highly rated by his coach Roger De Sa at Ajax at Cape Town, with his mentor saying he is so good that he plays with his handbrake up in the PSL. There is no doubt regarding the boy’s ability and versatility, but it’s his potential in becoming one of the best defenders in the land which could make him a wanted man at the end of the season.
Jomo has caught everyone’s attention this season by the skilful way he plays the game and of course, that yoyo trick. It would be hard to snatch a player of his kind away from a big club like Orlando Pirates, but he is sure to be one of the stars of the campaign come the end of the season.
Ace was courted by champions Mamelodi Sundowns during the mid-season break and had reportedly agreed terms only for the clubs not to conclude the deal. With his contract at the club expiring at the end of the season, Downs may try to revive their interest in the player.
Stay tuned for the next instalment of the most wanted players in the PSL!
