The story
AmaZulu Football Club stunned many by announcing the signing of experienced midfielder Bongani Zungu on Tuesday afternoon, who joins Usuthu as a free agents following a successful medical.
The decorated Bafana Bafana international has enjoyed a successful career that's taken him from Mamelodi Sundowns to overseas stints in Portugal with Vitória de Guimarães, France with Amiens SC and Scotland with Rangers FC.
Zungu will add invaluable experience to the AmaZulu squad, with his close friends and former teammates at Downs wishing him the best for his new venture in Durban.
The likes of Themba Zwane, Sphelele Mkhulise and Thembinkosi Lorch all congratulated Zungu on his move, having been without a club since parting ways with Masandawana at the end of last season.
The 32-year-old was warmly welcomed by club president, Sandile Zungu at the AmaZulu Fan Experience, where he received his number 34 jersey.
