Siya sources close to the club have indicated that Chiefs have been considering Miguel for a while now, even before the signing of Rushwin Dortley.
"He is a versatile player. He plays in central defence as well as defensive midfielder. Actually they inquired about him even before they signed Rushwin (Dortley). He brings in a different dimension to the other defenders that they have at the moment. What I know is that they have been talking and it's not a done deal yet but things are looking up," the Siya source stated.
Further details suggest that Chiefs have initiated negotiations with Petro de Luanda, although it is still too early to predict the outcome, according to a second insider.

"What I know is that they are talking. Actually they have been talking since they knew that they will appoint (Nasreddine) Nabi as the new coach. But the thing is that there are other defenders and midfielders that Chiefs are looking at. What gives him an advantage is that he can play as a defender as well as defensive midfielder. So, signing him would be killing two birds with one stone. There is no deal yet but Chiefs are looking at him and they have been talking," the second insider stated.
