The story

Banyana Banyana star Linda Motlhalo has rejoined her old club, Glasgow City FC after a short stint in the US with Racing Louisville, Thembi Kgatlana's former team.

Having previously played for Glasgow during the 2022/23 season, Motlhalo opened up about her return to the Scottish Women's Premier League side.

The 26-year-old Motlhalo rejoined Glasgow on a one-year-deal during Valentine's Day, having left the club in January last year.

In her first stint at the club, she helped Glasgow win the league in the 2022/23 season, making 28 appearances across all competitions and scoring four goals.

"I'm so happy to be back, this place brings back a lot of great memories, I'm happy to be back," she said.

"Glasgow will always be my home, I call it my second home. I remember when I first left, Leanne and all the staff said if you ever want to come back, this will always be home. I didn't even think twice when they called to say I could come back. When I got the call, I told my agent that's where I'm going," she added.

Mothalo also expressed her excitement in reintegrating herself into the club's environment again and meeting her new teammates.

"I'm looking forward to meeting new and old players. It's something that's exciting and as I said, it's always home here. So, I'm looking forward to making new friends," shared the skilled attacker.
