Morocco will be the epicentre of Group A action in Africa's premier club competition this weekend, as Raja Club Athletic welcome Sundowns to the Stade Larbi Zaouli, while AS FAR Rabat will face AS Maniema Union at the Stade d'Honneur de Meknes.
While the Green Eagles and the Royal Army are experiencing contrasting fortunes in the tournament, they could both be punished at the end of the matchweek if their supporters fail to adhere to the rules placed by CAF.
According to El Botola, African football's governing body has instructed both Botola Pro Inwi sides to advise their fans against the use of artificial flares during their upcoming group stage matches.
It is alleged that CAF officials informed the management of the two clubs of the need to update their supporters about the dangers of using flares during this weekend's matches.
The same report claims that, should either Raja or FAR fail to adhere to these rules and regulations, heavy fines will be imposed by CAF on the respective sides.
The team from the Moroccan capital has already been punished by the Dr Patrice Motsepe-led institution for the conduct of their supporters this season, after their fans were found guilty of using smoke bombs during their clash against Sundowns earlier in the campaign.
