For the first time in the 2024/25 campaign, former Premier Soccer League tacticians Miguel Gamondi and Davids will meet in the Kariakoo Derby.
Both teams have enjoyed great starts to their respective campaigns, with the Reds of Msimbazi winning four and drawing one of their opening five league matches.
In Yanga's case, they have won all four of their matches to start the new season, but after the conclusion of the international break, they will face their toughest challenge of the season yet when they take on their great rivals.
This will be the first time Gamondi faces Davids in a tactical battle, but the Olavarria native has insisted that preparation for the clash against the South African's side will need to be meticulous if they are to grab victory.
"I think now the members and fans of Young Africans have regained their happiness after our 4-0 victory against Pamba. The game against Simba is still two weeks away, and we will prepare thoroughly. While we approach every game with seriousness, this is a special challenge," the Argentine said, as per The Guardian Tanzania.
"It's time to study them carefully and craft strategies to counter them. It's going to be a great match, and we want to offer it as a gift to our loyal supporters who always stand by us.

"We will be playing at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, which will make it a good game. It won't be easy, but we are excited to play there. The pitch allows for a variety of playing styles, and both teams will benefit from that. Our aim is to be fully prepared to secure a win."
