Four days ago, the 10-time Ligue Professionnelle 1 champions unveiled the Umtata native as their latest signing after he completed his transfer from Cape Town City.
The 25-year-old was rumoured to be of interest to multiple clubs, not only in South Africa but in Europe too.
Ultimately, the Bafana Bafana star decided to sign with the north African side as he became their newest acquisition.
With Mayo being their ninth signing of the window, Belouizdad president Mehdi Rabehi has made a major declaration regarding the club's transfer plans after acquiring the forward.

"The South African player, Khanyisa Mayo, the striker of Cape Town City, is the last player to be brought in this summer transfer window, to support the team with a ninth player after goalkeepers Farid Chaal and Moustapha Zeghba, Ivorian Doumbia, Cameroonian Mbe, defender Souyad, player Hedy Chaabi, and strikers Hamroune and Daibeche," he told Echaab.
"Khanyisa is a distinguished striker who scored 10 goals in 28 matches last season with his team in the South African league. He has seven appearances with the Bafana Bafana national team.

"He was of interest to several clubs and signed with us after intensive negotiations for three seasons, that is, until the summer of 2027."
