Shabba's memorable NBK Cup jerseys

Nedbank Cup ambassador Siphiwe Tshabalala recently got nostalgic with SuperSport TV presenter over the jerseys he's won in South Africa's biggest cup competition.

Three of Shabba's number 14 Kaizer Chiefs jerseys were hung up at Nedbank's Ya Rona House, with the 2012/13 zebra-striped Home jersey being the Chiefs legend's favourite of the lot.

Shabba formed part of a formidable Chiefs outfit that did the league and cup double during the 2012/13 campaign under the tutelage of Stuart Baxter.

The Bafana legend admitted that they were heavily mocked for that jersey, with fans calling them Zebras. Despite the mockery, it's a kit Shabba will always appreciate:

"The significance of this kit is that it bought success, we won the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida and I grabbed an assist. So, this is my favourite kit," he stated.

Here's the significance behind the other two jerseys Shabba wore for Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup, with style tips for one of them:

40 years of Kaizer Chiefs: Launched during the festive season of 2009, the imposing black jersey celebrated the club's 40th anniversary. Describing the significance of the jersey, Shabba recalls being honoured to be part of the squad that celebrated the historic milestone.

Chiefs 2009/10 white Away jersey: Moving to the stylish white and gold jersey. From a style perspective, envision this kit as more than just a football jersey – picture it as a fashion statement perfect for spring or summer. How effortlessly cool would this kit look under the sun's glow or against the green of Soccer City or Loftus?
