The 25-year-old is approaching the end of his contract once again at Paris Saint-Germain.
This was the case in 2022 too, when he seemed destined to sign with Real Madrid. However, on that occasion, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner ultimately decided to extend his stay with Les Parisiens.
Los Blancos have maintained their interest in the forward since then, but the latest reports suggest that their financial package for the Bondy native has been significantly reduced.
This has seemingly caused Mbappe to weigh up his options, and according to The Independent, while Real are certainly still in the race for his signature, the attacker would be open to making his way to the Premier League, specifically Arsenal.
It is said this is because he considers Thierry Henry to be one of his idols and emulating the Gunners icon's legacy in north London is a prospect that intrigues him tremendously.
The same report claims that history and legacy are two considerations he wants to guide his career path, and while he may be open to moving to the Emirates Stadium, it is understood the 13-time English champions are not willing to drastically alter their wage structure to accommodate his arrival.

Liverpool are another English team who are believed to be in the running to land the serial Ballon d'Or contender's services, but they are also reportedly not open to compromising their wage bill in order to land Mbappe.
