An English club has officially decided to part ways with Wayne Rooney as manager just 15 games into his latest post.

Birmingham City have confirmed the departure of the English tactician little more than two months after appointing the 38-year-old.

Manchester United's all-time top goalscorer has paid the ultimate price in football as his team's wretched run of form since he took charge at St. Andrews has led to chiefs at the club opting to go in a different direction.
The English icon took over the reins at the club in October 2023, but since then, the former Derby County boss has lost nine of the 15 games he was in charge of, gaining a total of just 10 points from a possible 45.

The club were fighting for a play-off position when the Liverpool native took the job after John Eustace was relieved of his duties, but they now sit in 20th position on the Championship log, only a couple of spots off the relegation zone.
