The Wydad Casablanca fans had plenty of time for Rulani Mokwena before the Moroccan giants drew first blood in the first ever African Football League final.
Mokwena shared a special moment with the home crowd, who embraced him and parts of his technical team, as they were part of their well-coordinated Viking clap before kick-off.

Mokwena's moment with Wydad fans
Mamelodi Sundowns lost the first leg of the AFL final, 2-1 in Casablanca on Sunday, with Rulani Mokwena's men hoping to turn things around in the second-leg at Loftus Versfeld this weekend.
Ahead of the game, Mokwena and some members of his technical staff shared an amazing moment with the Wydad Athletic crowd, doing the Viking clap.
The buoyant Wydad fans painted the Mohamed V Sports Complex red on Sunday evening, producing a remarkable atmosphere that made the task even more difficult for Masandawana.

"I was humbled, I really didn't expect the welcome from the Wydad fans," Mokwena said when asked about the reception he received from the Moroccan fans.
"Them clapping and chanting and embracing me was surprising but extremely humbling. This is something I received with a lot of humility and appreciation. And I'm truly, truly humbled by that," added Mokwena in comments published by iDiski Times.

Raja Casablanca attacking midfielder Haashim Domingo visited his former Downs teammates and coaches during their pre-match meal ahead of the AFL final first leg.
The pint-sized baller was well embraced by coach Rulani, who made sure everyone greeted the former Sundowns star.
