According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blaugrana are eager to acquire Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco's services in the upcoming transfer window.
At the beginning of 2023, the Catalan giants and Atletico Madrid agreed a deal that saw Memphis Depay switch Catalonia for the Spanish capital.
As part of that transfer, Los Rojiblancos reportedly included a non-mandatory option for Barca to buy Carrasco for between €15 million (R302 million) and €20 million (R403 million) should they wish to sign the forward at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
The same report claims that club chiefs at the Camp Nou have all given the green light to sign the Ixelles native, but face the obstacle of structuring their wage bill in such a way that a deal would be possible.
The five-time European champions have struggled economically for the past two years and have not yet fully steered the club away from financial ruin as they continue to look for cost-effective deals that will help bolster their squad.
